The Permanent Collection of the Society of Illustrators is the home for hundreds of works of art by many of the greatest names in American painting and illustration. These works are cataloged with portions of the Collection constantly on display.
The Museum schedule features a variety of the Museum of Illustration exhibitions; contemporary, historical, one-man, group, annual Student Scholarship and Government Service Shows. The Annual Exhibition, on display for eight weeks, is a comprehensive retrospective of the best of the preceding year's illustration. This exhibit attracts thousands of visitors and is chronicled in a hardbound, full color volume which has been published annually since 1959.
The Norman Price Library houses numerous volumes relevant to the art of illustration,m while the archives include unique biographical and historical material available to all.
