Here we go again: a "hidden" bar tucked away behind a coffee shop. Bottle service? Check. You'll notice, if you visit the restaurant's OpenTable page, that their profile is essentially an encyclopedia entry on gin, with their website going on to add that they mix their gin "and other spirits with the finest and freshest fruits, juices, syrups and infusion in cocktails inspired by original recipes." Not a mention of the menu to speak of, you'll notice. There's a reason for that: while we're featuring it in our restaurant section, and while they are, in fact, taking reservations like a restaurant, Bathtub Gin is predominantly a cocktail bar with the decor of an old speakeasy, natch, and a selection of plates that with either augment your drinks or simply keep you upright enough to continue drinking.
There is a bouncer at the door, a clientele that skews, due to price points, one imagines, towards men of the silver fox variety, and the entrance is an unmarked door behind the Stone Street Coffee Company's storefront. If you've made it this far without suffering mild stroke or nausea, this bar is the place for you.
